Nenplas today is a leading supplier of extruded and fabricated plastic products, employing some 120 people.
We are recognised as an established manufacturer of trade extruded products, specialising in the design & development of new and bespoke profiles to meet specific customer requirements.
Trent Valley Plastics and Nenplas Extrusions were formed in the mid 1970's and were acquired by the McKechnie group of companies in 1987. These businesses merged with Homelux in 1992, a dominant brand of tiling accessory products in DIY Superstores and in 1999 the UK based Mckechnie group of companies was purchased by USA based corporation, Newell Rubbermaid. It became apparent during the ensuing years that the Homelux Nenplas brands were not a good strategic fit in the Newell Corporation and this culminated in the selling of the business on June 1st 2006 to an MBO team.
In February 2009, Nenplas purchased the assets from a former competitor, Frontline, and retained the majority of their existing customer base. In March 20I0, another competitor, M-plas went into administration and again their assets and customers were acquired. In 2013 the Homelux element of the business was sold to a USA based corporation who focus on supplying the DIY trade, leaving Nenplas to concentrate on manufacturing. Subsequently the Nenplas MBO team purchased two other extrusion manufacturing business’, Polyplas Extrusions and Delta Plastics.
In December 2016 the Nenplas Group was sold to Surteco, a German corporation.
